Entrepreneurship is hard but it's worth it.

The #process for setting up a #business is pretty straightforward;

1. Get an EIN
2. Register in your state.
3. Get insurance.

There is obviously more to starting a business than setting it up legally. Planning is critical. Product identification, #pricing, defining your target market, marketing and branding, establishing your sales strategy, location, budgeting, funds needed to launch the business...all of this requires some careful planning and attention to detail.

When you're ready to move forward with a new business, find the support you need.

* Find a Small Business Development Center near you. These SBA trained coaches can help you with financing and business plan development. They have seen many businesses start so they can bring keen perspective on how to avoid common pitfalls.

* Find 2-3 #experienced #entrepreneurs who can mentor you and become part of your circle. None of us don't know what we don't know. There is plenty to learn, so lean into the expertise of others to round out your knowledge and form your small business launch team.

* Invest in your business. Look for professionals who can do key parts of your business for you (i.e., incorporation, accounting, logo creation, social media). Focus your time and energy on your core competencies and key business development that only you can do. Be willing to invest money in experts that can save you time.

* Contact us - Community Development Professionals, LLC. We're here to help and we have relationships with professionals ready to partner with you, i.e., United Heartland, John Turner, for insurance. Lee Geiger, GRAYDON HEAD & RITCHEY LLP, for legal. Brandon M. Robertson, CPA for accounting. Jamie Aguilar, First Financial Bank , for banking.
