Stories from Uber.

Today's musing from travel is a true appreciation for Uber. What an easy, fun and interesting way of getting around. So far we've met a driver from Columbia, New Orleans, Somalia, and a couple of California natives. All of them had unique stories. We rode in our first Tesla (pictured here) and amused the driver with our ignorance about how to even open the door. What a cool, cool car.

I've learned to pay attention to the people in my path. We've met a single mom struggling to pay the bills, an aspiring app developer, a plumber who has worked on every major commercial building in San Diego...interesting people with interesting stories heard through casual conversation on a ride from point A to point B.

Today we'll hop an Uber to take us to the open air tour bus exploring Hollywood and seeing the sites we've only seen on TV. I'll be sure to continue to focus my eyes on the everyday people living in the shadows of the glitz and glamour but perhaps today I'll also get a glimpse of a Hollywood star.
