Suddenly.
Suddenly. It usually includes both the element of surprise and something happening quickly. Life can change on a dime - suddenly. We know that reality in our heads but yet we are shocked when it happens. It's well, unexpected.
Suddenly can certainly be associated with negative events -- a car crash, a heart attack, a loss, a theft. But suddenly can also offer hope, excitement and a positive shift in the day. That's what I want to lean into today.
Suddenly you get the yes on a grant ask.
Suddenly the job promotion comes through.
Suddenly an unexpected visit from a long-lost friend happens.
Suddenly you get a call from an interested customer.
Suddenly the video of your product goes viral.
Suddenly a friend offers to help.
Suddenly you're headed to the Super Bowl (Who Dey!)
In one moment your day can go from ordinary to extraordinary. In one moment you receive that phone call, the email, or the letter that delivers good news. 'Suddenlys' (yep, it's a new word..) don't happen often but there is always hope that today might be the day for your suddenly.
So do your thing today. Continue to walk the path, do the next right thing and be watchful to see if your suddenly might happen today.
