Family vacation… a lesson in business?

Family vacation is a lesson in business. Here are three things I'm reminded of this week....

1. Planning is essential and keeps the stress at bay. Be organized, thorough and communicate the plan with your team (i.e., family).
2. Budgeting keeps the risk and surprises at a minimum. Know your limits and where you can splurge. (...and food is always more expensive than I expect it to be...)
3. Roll with the unexpected. Delays are inevitable. Keep your head up and plow forward.
