Plan to develop your knowledge and skills.

Hey nonprofit practitioners and leaders...do you know the basics?

So many people working and volunteering in nonprofits have a heart to serve. Few are there because they wanted to start a business or oversee or manage a 501c3 nonprofit. Nonprofits largely begin out of a passion to help people, support a cause or make a difference. The heart of nonprofit leaders should be lauded and applauded.

But healthy nonprofits cannot sustain on passion alone. Good intentions are not enough to set the foundation for long-term success. Our heart, love and admiration for community-based nonprofits is why we developed the CDP Nonprofit Training Academy. This Academy is intended to be a practical tool and affordable resource to equip and train nonprofit professionals to lead ably and well and help nonprofits get organized get funded and be sustainable.

I encourage you to plan to develop your knowledge and skills in 2025. Check out the Academy. Enroll and take some courses or join CDP (t.ly/GBSUV) for full access to the Academy.

Today, I challenge you to begin your learning journey by committing 90-minutes to refresh on the basics. Go to t.ly/3SczE. It's free. No catch — just solid, practical information about how a nonprofit gets organized and funded. And as a Christmas bonus, anyone who completes the 90-minute session by Christmas Day will get a free gift.

Merry Christmas from CDP!
