What marks success?

What marks success for you? Has this year brought it to you?

This has been an unusually challenging year for me. There have been many ebbs and flows and ups and downs. Seasons of more dramatic peaks and valleys cause me to reevaluate what I am shooting for and to what extent I am hitting the mark. How about you? Consider this:

✔️ Defining success for your life is paramount. For some it's fame, fortune, or achievement. For others success may be measured by numbers served, profit-share gained or battles won. For me success is the extent that I am being who I am called to be, doing what I'm called to do. Defining your ultimate measure of success keeps your heart, mind and will focused.

✔️ Many of us fall short of our own expectations. Shooting high often means failing to reach the goal. Reflect less on checking the achieved box and more on lessons learned and progress made.

✔️ As you experience success, celebrate it. Don't be too quick to move on to the next thing without enjoying the thrill of the achievement.

✔️ Regardless of wins or losses, tomorrow is a new day. Disappointed? Regroup and begin again. Successful? It's time to set new goals and keep progressing forward.

As we wrap up 2024 and look forward to 2025, appreciate and feel the both the weight and achievement of the year and look ahead to the hopefulness of what's to come. Happy New Year!
