Spring Cleaning
No time like the present to bring some spring cleaning to your nonprofit or small business. Spring cleaning can be a time to clean and organize or it may just be gaining a fresh perspective or introducing a new activity to our normal routine. Consider these suggestions:
Outline three attainable tasks you can accomplish over the next 90-days to propel your organization forward. These don't have to be monstrous; simple will do. Think purge files, organize schedule, send thank you notes for closed business. What have you been putting off that you can stick in your schedule and get done?
What three self-improvement goals can you achieve? Perhaps you can add one more day of exercise to your routine or start a new routine. Perhaps you can commit to #read a new book or learn a new skill. Be realistic and purposeful about finding something and commit to get it done during this spring season.
What new charitable activity can I accomplish in the next 30 days? Think practical and doable such as hold a food drive, donate time to a cause, promote a great cause or two on social media every day for thirty days. If you are in the nonprofit sector go outside your own organization and think about how to use this season to engage with another organization or cause.
Sometimes we just need a refresh and reboot to get things accomplished. Now is the time. Get to it.
