Happy New Year Friends

As you prepare for the NewYear, now is the time to get your organizational house in order. How? Consider these four simple (but not-so-easy) tasks:

✔ Set goals. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound (SMART goals). These goals don't have to be wordsmithed to death. Just outline what you hope to achieve in the upcoming year. Keep these in front of you and refer to them often.

✔ Fill a bin/trashcan and then empty it. This may be more metaphorical than literal, but find bad habits, piles of rubbish, undone tasks, space and time wasters or unhealthy hobbies and let them go. Identify what starves you or sucks the life out of you and throw it out.

✔ Fill your cup. Find one life-giving hobby, adventure, or experience to start or do in 2024. Find an invigorating book to read or make plans to rekindle a friendship. Make it a priority to fill your cup in this new year.

✔ Tackle something hard. Identify a goal you've put off or a challenge you've avoided. Where are you needlessly procrastinating? What fear do you need to face? What have you always wanted to do that you haven't done yet. Make it a point to accomplish something difficult in the New Year.

As you close up 2023 and look toward the New Year, embrace the hope that lies ahead. Make plans. Look at the New Year as anticipation of what's to come. Ask for help when you need it. Seek wisdom and support. Here's to a 2024 full of promise, activity and achievement. Cheers!
