The phrase 'I'm so busy.' I hear it WAY too often from well-intentioned and well-meaning people. I get it. But you have a schedule that's too taxing? Are you worn out from trying to get it all done? Then perhaps you are 'overscheduled.' Can we start using that word instead?

Time is one of the great equalizers. We all have exactly the same amount. And you, my friend, are as busy as you schedule yourself to be. I'm a wife, mother, friend, business owner, church-goer, Jesus-follower, author, volunteer, community activist, visionary, dreamer.... Each of these requires my time. I heard Maria Shriver say her grandmother told her that "you can do it all, you just can't do it all at once." I LOVE that.

So here are my two cents....perhaps it's time to reevaluate your priorities. Focus your energy and time on significant or meaningful work. Let go of the things that don't matter. Stop overscheduling yourself. Put some things off until you enter a different season of life. It's okay not to always say yes. Be protective of your time and energy. Take CONTROL of your time and energy. The weekend is a great time to take inventory and reevaluate your priorities. You are NOT too busy to start making progress on this this weekend. #twocentsworthofadvice
